Locations: Transaction Source Locations

Also known as TXN Source Locations

  • The Transaction Source is also known as Order Source or Order Channel.
  • Access Transaction Source Location settings from the Admin Panel (ACP): Company > Txn Source Locations.
  • A location configured for inventory is a location that has the "Has INV" box checked in the Brand Settings. It can be designated as a Transaction Source Inventory Location to guarantee that the product is pulled from the correct location according to the type of sale.
  • Example: Web orders may default to the fulfillment house whereas POS orders may default to the Tasting Room location.
  • NOTE: The Allocation module is utilized for the management of scarce products. All allocation orders adhere to a single rule for determining inventory location for depletion. Allocation sales channel orders will deplete from the location set in Transaction Source Locations, separate from the fulfillment method. This enables all allocated products to be exclusively managed in their own location.
