Product Categories
Required: Very important! When creating a new product, select a default root Category: Wine or Merchandise. A product can have multiple sub-categories, but each product can only have one ROOT category.
Product Root Categories Control:
Shipping Rate Tables: Without a root category shipping for a Ship To order will not calculate.
Discounts: Discounts can be driven by the Product Root Category or from a product sub-category.
Additionally, a product category can be used as a Product Sales Report Category type for sales reporting purposes. For example Tasting Fees or Events. To request additional root categories, please contact the support team: supportteam@ecellar1.com.
