Allocation Event Checklist
This is a pre-release checklist! Prior to each allocation release, review and confirm EACH item below to ensure a smooth and worry-free allocation event.
Note: When preparing for an allocation event always have a test tier to use with each event to simulate your upcoming allocation. Then, by using your own customer account assigned into the Test Tier, the event details can be confirmed for the release without allowing access to customers too!

- Create Products - Confirm product name, prices and settings are accurate.

- Confirm Product Availability tab for Customer Types are set correctly for all products

- Confirm Product Category tab is set correctly for all products

- Check Web Info tab to review display order, tasting notes (Product descriptions and/or pdf.)

- Shadow Inventory Set Product Max Sell Qty and Threshold to prevent overselling (optional.)

- Create/Confirm all Inventory SKUs (if applicable) Confirm SKUs have correct vintage and varietal (in SKU list.)

- Confirm products are tied to the appropriate SKU on the inventory SKU tab (only applies to inventory module.)

- Confirm on-hand and available inventory quantities per SKU (only applies to inventory module.)

- Confirm the transaction source location is correct. Company > Txn Source Location

- Review Shipping tables, Fulfillment settings and Location settings. (Fulfillment determines inventory location.)

- Confirm set-up of any inventory locations and pickup locations

- Confirm total customer counts in each allocation Tier from Customer Search

- Double-check by searching for valid customer types, and customer NOT in a tier assignment

- Best practice: Create saved customer groups for each tier (name groups to match each campaign for release)

- Check and test that customers are assigned to the correct allocation tiers and customer groups for email campaigns

- Confirm Allocation Event(s) are set-up correctly, including specific ship dates and event start and end date

- Confirm Each tier has the correct Min/Max/Wish Max for each product assigned to the event

- Confirm each Allocation Event and all Tiers by using the auto-login for a variety of customers

- Confirm consistency of Product Title descriptions of all products being sold

- Check for Product Images & Label links for each product in admin and online if you're using any images in your Allocation Store

- Confirm discounts (i.e.; product, shipping, customer type) Confirm the discount applies in the POS and Allocation Store

- Confirm tax rates for each ship-to state by reviewing the Tax Table settings

- Test shipping rates for each product in the event, within each shipping zone in POS and/or online. Products should be tested one-by-one. (or verify product weights, and shipping zones & methods.)

- Confirm all alternate shippers (i.e. 55 Degrees, All Ways Cool, etc.) you are using have the correct addresses and phone numbers within the path-to-purchase.

- Review Allocation Landing page content, for customers that are NOT part of the release event.

- Test the "forgot my password" link through all steps (if applicable) in the path-to-purchase

- Send a live campaign (not just a preview) to internal staff to validate all content and hyperlinks of the release announcement

- Click through Campaign, to confirm auto-login and store layout. Check path-to-purchase content on all pages (i.e. Login, Product List and Checkout online using multiple browsers.)

- Check and test Wish List Qtys in the path-to-purchase for each SKU and Tier

- Confirm Initial Order receipt message and format. Order > Custom Receipt > Setup

- Check Company settings to verify that the correct email addresses are being used for orders

- Confirm new customer creation defaults are set correctly for Customer Type and Tier. Company > General Info.

- Confirm banking info/settings have not changed. Verify that transactions are set to the correct payment gateway processor. Company > Payment Gateway.

- Place Test Order: Test all steps within the path-to-purchase through Confirm Order (purchase) process on multiple browsers (i.e.; Firefox and Chrome)
