Adding Notes, Comments and Tags
Notes and Comments
There are four different note and comment fields available for orders. To add any notes, click the Comments button at the bottom of the POS anytime while creating the order.

- General Comments: are customer specific comments and are visible in email receipts and in all order views including customer access. Cannot be edited once order is completed.

- Comments to Shipper: is often included to your fulfillment house and are visible in email receipts and in all order views including customer access.

- Gift Message: on behalf of the customer to the order recipient. Cannot be edited once order is completed, and is visible in email receipts and in all order views including customer access.

- Internal Note: reminders and details specific to the order and is NOT visible to the customer in the online My Account section and in any receipts.
NOTE: Comments to Shipper and Gift Message have a 255 character maximum. This includes spaces and returns. Consider limiting messages in these fields.
Tags
Tags are very handy for creating simple, searchable markers to identify a set of orders. Before tags can be assigned to an order, they must be setup in the Admin Control Panel (ACP). To learn more, get instructions in this article: https://help.ecellar1.com/article/170-order-tags.
