Inventory Location

A default Inventory Location can be set for each Sales Channel (Source) to ensure product is pulled from the appropriate location based on the type of sale.  For example, web orders may default to the fulfillment location determined in the shipping zones and methods, and a POS order may default to the Tasting Room location depending how the Terminals are configured.

The Inventory location can be selected while creating an order in the POS. This is a permission based tool, and is typically locked to the default locations configured by your Admin team.  The Inventory location on pick-up orders is controlled by the Order Source and Terminal (channel) set-up in the Admin Control Panel.

Inventory location on a ship order is controlled by the Shipping Zones & Methods.  The Inventory location should not be changed unless instructed by a manager.
